I don't think it is a gender issue. Both men and women can be excellent cooks. I think one needs to enjoy cooking and also enjoy eating, enjoying different tastes and textures. Being creative and open to try new dishes. In our house we all cook. Me, hubby, my daughter and even my 14 year old son. Each one of us has some special dishes that the others like a lot. WE don't usually see it in terms of who is the best cook, but which dishes we prefer from each one.

Both men and women can be amazing cooks and both men and women can be terrible cooks....Gender has nothing to do with it...ability and passion however does....I know many women who are brilliant cooks but at the same time some of the most famous chefs in the world are men..

My husband and I are both great cooks. I don't think one of us is better than the other. We each have our favorite dishes to cook. Whoever is not working that day cooks our dinner. I think this works out great for both of us.

I think it seems that men will be the best cook. There are many famous chefs in the world and they are males. When a man is earnest to cook, he really does it better than a woman. Besides, a man can have enough strength to hold the heavy pots etc. Sometimes cooking is a heavy and tiring work.

It makes no difference it's just who has had more practice and who watched the most cooking shows basically. In my family the women have done most of the cooking, we watch the foodnetwork and get the most practice, and consequently we cook better. My dad on the other hand, almost never cooks for more than himself and that is only to make some breakfast and lunch if he doesn't get up at the same time as my mother. We all eat dinner together, and either my mother or me when I'm home make it. I've known men who were very good cooks though. We had a friend who is unfortunately no longer with us who was a self taught chef. He could make anything and turn out restaurant quality.

Oh,I think this is a well situation because it can prevent that you are both always cook.So I think you must have a happy life with your husband and your sons.I think both of the dishes you have cooked must be very good because they all made of love.
