I was going through a megazine which said since sudden or accidental death in the family can be traumatic for the child, we should keep him away from the body or the rituals. We should in fact let him watch TV or play with friends so that he is not stressed with the situation.
What I personally feel is that, none can run from reality. So its better if we learn at young age to face the situation. In todays world when theres no gurantee of the next moment itself, why don't we try to bring our children in such a way that they can take charge of any situation, not run away from it in order to find some solace. The sooner the better. Life is tough,we should grough tougher to live it.
Child should be supported to face situations, with love and care, but not turn into an escapist.
