Some people sweat alot on their feet this can cause a terrible odour, then i have seen many people who do not change their socks, their dirty filthy socks too can cause thsi foul odour.

Hi dear marketing, it is really disgusting when we happen to smell any of the foot odor especially in the confined air-con room or bus. I did have this unpleasant experience when I shared a hotel room with a friend. The night when we came back from outside after a hard day trip, once she entered the room she took out her socks and shoes and I promptly got the awful smell. Luckily she soon entered the bathroom to enjoy her showering and I then quickly put her shoes outside the doorway. I think the odor of her feet came from the accumulated sweat and dust on the socks as well as the poorly aerated shoes.
