Do reviews influence whether you buy a game?

With the many game review sites and print available in the media today, do they affect how you buy games? Personally, I find myself looking for reviews when new games are released. I buy games based on their reviews almost all the time.
So what about you? Do reviews influence the choice of games you buy?

I don't generally bother with reviews but sometimes they can be useful. One thing that I find is that the scores are not really important at all. One of my favourite places for reviews is a little video thing called zero punctuation. The great thing is that he is pretty much mean about every game but he explains exactly where the game falls short so you can get a good idea of what you are going to be paying for.

well reviews do help me a lot when i go for gaming.because i dont have much time so have to take games i get formyself to enjoy very carefully.i look at reviews and ratings and graphics so that i can enjoy it .i also look for myself without getting the reviews sometimes as i know some game makers are known to produce ery good games like ubisoft.almost every game of thiers is really good.i have played quake and it was really fun.so its a mix of my thinking and gamers reviews.
