Hello dear ciades. Thanks so much for those expressions in different local dialect of your language and English. I am sure that it will be easier for those who stay in your country to practise speaking those simple and basic sentences.

Hi ciades, my dear higala, kumusta naman ka, thank you for teaching us some common words in Philippines. I think every one likes to hear her or his partner to say gihigugma ko ikaw, to him or her, right? You can see from my avatar, there is a big red buwak in it. I hope I don’t make any mistake about the words which I have learnt from you. It is quite interesting to learn languages of other countries. Bye my dear higala.

Hi there, can you help me with a translation ?
Iam communicating with a woman in the philippinnes and here the other day i got a txt message from her, It says : 2log naka-? kalatawan kaau Morten.
Since my name is not Morten, i became a little suspicious and i wonder if she was in touch with some one beside me, and she claims she never sent it..
I planned to go down there to visit her but i dont want it when i felt she wasnt hounest with me.
Can you help me please ?
Sincerly yours sear

2log is short for tulog wich means sleep, ka is short for ikaw wich means you. kalatawan is laughter or to laugh. so basically shes saying... are you asleep? and your laughing morten. her spelling is bad kaau is not a word, kalatawan should be kalataw-an. FILIPINOS ARE FAMOUS FOR MISSPELLING AND SHORTENING WORDS AND INSERTING CODES LIKE 2X ETC. For example, a town I lived in named CarCar is always spelled in text messages as Car2x, a girl I know named Joy Joy tells you she is Joy2x etc... Water is tubig but might be spelled as 2big.

Here are some more.
I love you very much GIHIGUGMA KAAYO KO IKAW
Im tired KAPOY KO. Im sleepy DUKA KO. Im very tired KAPOY KAAYO KO. Kaayo means very or much
Hot-INIT or KAINIT
Cold-TUGNAW
Water-TUBIG..... Hot water-TUBIG INIT or cold water TUBIG TUGNAW
Missing or miss-GIMINGAW I miss you very much-GIMINGAW KAAYO KO NIMO, NIMO means you, same as IKAW but used differently.
There are no plural words in Bisaya, instead they use a seperate word to indicate that the meaning is plural, the word is MGA, pronounced like this "MUNGA" not MUN GA but the G is almost silent "MUNG A" Example Girl is BABAE so girls would be MGA BABAE.
There are no doulbe vowels in Bisaya, all vowels are pronounced independantly. So BABAE sounds like BA BA EE. A town near my home is called TALOOT, pronounced as TALA OOT
Where are you- ASA KA
How are you- KUMUSTA KA or MUSTA KA for short
Im good- Maayo ko, Im very good-MAAYO KAAYO KO. Im ok- SIGE KO
Soon- MADALI..See-KITA... Aother way to say "YOU" is TAKA more commonly spelled as TA. See you soon-KITA TA MADALI, another word for soon is wich literally translates as "FUTURE" is PUHON. KITA TA PUHON- See you in the future.
Hurt or pain-SAKIT..I hurt-SAKIT KO.. Finger-Tudlo... My finger hurts-SAKIT TUDLO KO
Now-NA.. I will sleep now Im tired- TULOG NA KO, KAPOY KO. Ok now-SIGE NA
Here-DIRI..Your-IMO...Your here now-DIRI IMO NA
I will add more later if anyone wants
