I like the name Grayson, I don't think that it sounds girly at all. I am too expecting a boy in 3 months and people have a problem with the name that I picked out which is Wyatt Jackson. Everyone seems to think that he will be teased for the name of Wyatt but i absolutely love it. It doesn't matter what others think! I have even heard of people naming their sons Ashly and Shannon. Those are more girly sounding names. Congrats on the arrival of your little boy.

I think the only 'girly' thing about it is this...if you're in a hurry or need to shorten it for some other reason you'll end up leaving off the last few letters and it will sound like you're calling him Grace.
I don't see Grayson as a girl name though. It's just hard as a first name. I remember your other discussion and think you should stick with M names...I think Malachi would fit well with your girls. And maybe do a name smush for the middle name to work in Grayson and Alan since I know they both have meaning for you...how about Graylan? Malachi Graylan?

naw, i dont think it is girly at all! it sounds like a great name. i love names that are unusual. my nieces name is presley (yes, after elvis) and her sister's name is marina. our daughters names are hannah and leah (Biblical names) and when we named them, they were not all that popular.

Grayson, I love it, and it is definately not a girly sounding name to my ears! It is different and unusual, if you and your hubby like it, go for it. My daughter is called Georgia, everyone in my family loved it except my nan who said it sounded like a boys name. She tried her hardest to get me to change it but I did not budge!!

It is true that the only people who need to be happy with the name are the parents. If I listened to my family my daughter would not have her name because some thought that it was too old fashioned.
With that being said, when I read the subject for the discussion I thought it was a girls name until I took a second glance and realized the middle name was Alan. I still think upon first impression Grayson sounds feminine, but believe it could is also a unisex name such as Aaron (Erin), Shawn, Toni, Chris (Christine/Christopher), Jamie ( I work with both a male and female with this name spelled the same).

I think that Grayson Alan is a wonderful name, and the first image that came to my mind was a man, not a woman. I don't know what the people who call it "girly" know what they are talking about. Besides, it's yours and your husband's choice, not theirs.

I know two boys (well one is an adult now) with that name, I don't think it's girly at all. You could name your kid anything, and you'd probably have a few members of the family that will whine about it.

I think its all about personal choice and if you like the name use it, i dont think family should have input on a name me and my partner chose names and then told everyone once the baby was born no chance of them trying to put us off then.
I dont think that sounds girly at all though
