I have and it was not a good experience. My so-called best friend sent me up with him. He was 17 years older than me (I was 19 and he was 36). She knew I didn't date guys that much older than me. He was not attractive at all and he didn't have a job. I didn't know any of this. She knew that if I had, there would have been no way I would have agreed to it. It was a double date with her and her boyfriend. We went out to eat and to a movie and it was the most uncomfortable 3-4 hours. I couldn't wait to get home. I was so mad at my friend for that. I'm 29 now and she still apologizes for it.I learned my lesson and I never went on another blind date. I have been married for 8 years now and I picked him out because obviously my friend has very poor judgment lol.

I didn't expect her to know what I wanted in a man. And I never asked to be set up with anyone. What mad me made about it was that she told me she KNEW he was not my type and that I would not enjoy going out with him. I'll just say this..I would NEVER try to hook up any of my friends with someone I knew they would not be attracted to.

well at least you were able to live and tell the story,some people are not so lucky,i believe no one really know s what you want in a man they can only try but the decision to go further is always yours to make

Tou may have a point there but really it will depend on who is setting it up and where you are meeting the person and another thing it should not be done in isolation or secretly

It has been too long since I dated for me to answer! I think it is too much of a coincidence that they had dated and ended up being selected as blind dates to each other!
