The Barbie Bandits were sentenced yesterday for robbing a Bank of America located in a supermarket last year. 19-year-old Ashley Miller (the girl in the photo to the right) was sentenced to 10 years. She will only have to serve 2 of those years in jail and the rest must be completed on probation. Her friend 19-year-old Heather Johnston was sentenced to 10 years probation.
The two chicks made international headlines last year when they were caught on tape robbing a supermarket bank of $11,000. They wore sunglasses and giggled during the whole robbery. Afterwards they spent the money by going on a shopping spree and getting their hair done.
Benny Allen, the bank teller involved in the robbery, will serve 5 of 10 years in prison for his role. Another dude who was also involved will sentenced today.
Heather cried during her sentence and told the court, “A lot of people look down on me. I feel terrible. I want to set a good example for my little sister. She’s a great kid. I don’t want her to end up like me.”

What kids these days are just going crazy. This reminds me of a movie that I saw where a bunch of cheerleaders were robbing banks, the movie was funny but something as serious as this is not funny at all. Kids need to grow up and start taking more responsibility. They need to know what's right from wrong.
