what's the first gift do you give your girlfriend?

My birthday came about a month after I started dating my husband; I remember he gave me a rose and a carved wooden keychain of my name. (We were in high school, we went to a theme park, and they had a booth where they would carve these keychains.) 21 years later I think I still have the keychain!
