What do you think is the main reason you stay in a company?

In the interview, a question being frequently raised is " why do you want to come to our company?" Maybe the most popular answer is "I like your company culture.",which is just used for making the interviewer delighted. When you work there for weeks or months, it is up to you to make the decision of leaving or staying. There are many reasons for your staying here, the high salary, the opportunity of development, the freindly working atmosphere, ect. What is your main reason for staying in your company?

The opportunity for improvement of your ability would be the most important factor. Especially when you are still young without much working experience.

I agree with you, cheney. But now I am thinking one question that if your company provides you with much developed space but rather low salary, which is hard for you to make a living in the big city, will you leave or stay? So opportunity of development and salary for living decently, which one should come first?

At the beginning, choose a company that offers you opportunity for development. When you think you are worthy much than what they pay, you can just leave and find another company that can offer you both.

My reasons are as follows: 1. I work with free shift. i just need to complete 8 hours and i can choose at what time i want to come to work. 2. My salary is okay, and i have allowance (transportation)- though others in my position in other company must be getting more than me... 3. My boss is very nice, though he is very thrift at some... he is good at his craft. 4. Our company shoulders 100% medical benefits, medicines, and hospitalizations. not for reimbursement - you just present your ID and you will not pay for anything. 6. our company offers security, financial and tenure. I know that it will be around for a long long while. 7. I have good companions and officemates. They respect me and accepts my capabilities and shortcomings. 8. I am free to do my task - I am given the chance to prove that i am trustworthy 9. There are unending challenges at work. :) I love the challenge.

I could make up beautiful words for an interview. Be honestly, the only reason that I stay in the company is stable and money. I am not a ambitious person and love daily jobs. I hate taking adventures.

That is also what I want, yannycui. My BF often says that I am lack of the sense of uplift. To be an ambitious woman is so difficult for me. As long as my earnings are adequate to my need, I will be content.
