First impression lasts long. Do you believe?

i think we are all guilty with first impression to other people, when we knew something about certain person for the first time it remains on us for long until we actually knew the person well and realize that our first impression was wrong or misunderstood.

ya i have really experienced this in my own life!!!!! i met a friend who seemed very headstrong, rude n ruthless n i hated that guy from the first day rather the first look!!! I just felt that nobody could be as irritating and misbehaving as him! but later we both became best friends n i realised all his good attributes n also that he was very open hearted n expresses his love n anger or resentment on our face without any kind f back biting n i feel that he's a gem of a man!!!!!!!!!!

yes, i do believe they are true. when you have an impression about someone it stays there for a long time until you really get to know the person and prove yourself wrong.

According to me , its not working every time.If you love that person very much then that will be memorable thing for you.. Thanks....

i believe that 1st impression do last longer thats why i always try to make a good 1st impression.

I agree that the first impression does count but can be easily overruled by further meetings and getting to know the person. If you hardly ever see a person, this initial impression you had of them can stick far longer than usual - which is what happened with my boyfriend's ex - because of course she's not someone I felt like befriending straight away. One good example of first impressions is when I started at a new job. One of my colleagues (whom I really like!) told me this a while ago. On my first shift, this one colleague tried his hardest to make me feel welcome, and offered to phone me a taxi after we finished, apparently though I was really off with him. Which I felt awful about when he was telling me because I really really truly hadn't realised. This colleague is what some people call 'alternative' or 'gothic' and so he said that his first impression of me was that I must have been a chav - hating the type of person he was. BUT after he told me this, he laughed and said of course it doesn't matter now because now I know your not like taht and I love you to bits! Lol I felt so very bad about that, but at least I know that I'm not actually like that and should maybe learn to ease up when I meet people for the first time (because I'm pretty shy).

first impression last long if you dont really know that person or you dont find out what kind of person that really is. first impression does not last if you will try to know that person better. first impression is only first impression there is more on just how people look and how people speak.

first impression only lasts long when you don't get to see that person again. when you meet somebody the first time you get an idea (willingly or unwillingly) based on how she acts or the things you heard about her. but when you get to really know the person you'll learn that everything is not what it seems because there is a lot to learn from a person no matter how deep or shallow you think she is. it has happen to me and i have learned to chuck my opinion until the time i could tell it's safe to have one.
