Well crap! I've got to go back to working at Walmart!! LOL
As a lot of you know I worked there for 7 years before I was able to escape. That's when my hubby was on 1st shift last July. Well as a lot of you also know he had to go back to 3rd shift in January. I haven't been working since for several reasons. But our bills are adding up and he doesn't want me working at McDonalds. Walmart is getting desperate needing help and my old manager wants me to come back even though he knows I will only work like three days a week. He told me to put in my application and to let him know. Last night I did and before I had the chance to tell him tonight they called yesterday to set up an interview for today.
I tried to have it scheduled for Thursday instead because with picking up my sister-in-law's ashes today and we have to get our taxes done so I wasn't sure when I'd be free but they wouldn't have it.
Anyway it looks like I'll be working at Walmart again. But only a few nights a week and hopefully for not too long. Once my hubby goes back to thirds or less than year - I'll be able to leave again :)
PS - the less than a year thing is insurance things with my hubbys insurance company. If I am employed somewhere that offers insurance to keep his insurance I have to pay his employer what they pay. That's one of the reasons I haven't been working.

So are you back with us - yes I too am a wally associate! I have to say I don't hate the place most of the people are fun to work with and as a cashier if the customers behave it can be heads down and no-one bothers you. Mind you all these pleasant comments come from having had a week off and no crap lol Back to work tomorrow for me UGH!

I've been with the firm three years in November. I was actually "grateful" when they hired me as I had moved here from UK and when I was job hunting no-one was even offering me interviews, never thought I'd end up at Wally but they offered me a job and now it's just tooo easy to stay there.

It's not a bad place to work you just have to look past all the clowns that work there. I work at a walmart here where I live and omg..lololol I have to laugh more than 1/2 of them are clowns not knowing what there doing. I think what I like best about walmart is the paychecks and the customers. The benefits are good to. I've been w/ WalMart for 5 and
a half years. I work 3rd.

I guess it must be different at your store but I hate our store. And I hate the direction the company has been going in in the last 6 years or so. The benefits suck if you ask me though. They offer them and that's good but there are loads of employees that opt having the state pay for their insurance because of the crappy, overpriced insurance Walmart offers.

I hope it's not too unbearable for you. Life sucks when we have to do things for a period of time that we really don't want to do.
I don't understand about your hubby's shifts and his insurance...it sounds like it makes your jobs complicated. All the best with things anyway. I hope we still get to see you on here occasionally GG. Hugs to you.

Yeah it does make things difficult :X
Yeah it sucks. Two of the days I'll be working with one of my close friends and she helps keep me sane there :) So that helps.

It's actually the company he works for that implemented it not the insurance company. His employer said they were paying out too much money because were the insurance there is so good most of the spouses didn't take the insurance they are offered at their employment.

nice to hear about the insurance taking up the cause, but in asia we do should to mend our ways ourselves by borrowing money or go on starvation or to have alternate job immediately. hope day will come in the world that every perons living across will find insurance or other agencies helps in rainy day.
you should be grateful to have a nice person (ex-manager) as a good friend, who has remembered you for the job at walmart. keeping smilling you will be able to see good days to come once your hubby goes for work.

I think you misunderstood. My hubby does work. He's got a decent job that pays decent and has been there for nearly 7 years now :)
