I like real trees because I like the smell, but I hate to take them down because all the needles fall off everywhere. Plus you can't keep a real tree as long as you can an artificial tree. I guess you can get those pine smelly things.

I love real trees but I'm like you and have had an artificial for the last few years. Mainly b/c real trees are kind of messy and I have 4 kids ages 5 and under and two large dogs....kids+dog+real tree= a real mess

All my life our family put an artificial tree at home to add to the touch of the essence of a real christmas.

If I didn't have to be the one to mess with it or clean up after it or take it down, I'd prefer a real tree. I absolutley love them. I don't like the mess they make though or the having to water them.

The smell of pine wafting through the house is hard to beat, but the pine needles you have to clean up are the down side to a real tree. If you are in a hurry an artificial, pre-lit, fiber optic tree is the lazy man's way to go. You can be ready for Christmas in about 20 minutes!

I prefer a real one also but had a fake one for a few years, but the fake one is gone so I wonder if we will get a real one or a fake one this year
