Hi pandaboy, That is an interesting question. You are right about the fast pace of life in today's society, and we all need to stop now and then to smell the roses. Since I am retired, things are not the same for me anymore, I have lots of time to relax. The most important thing for me now is probably to stay healthy, but I am still interested in what's happening in the world. I am still seeking to find more meaning in life, and ways that I can help make this world a better place for those who will follow me. Making someone smile is important too. Blessings.

We all hope to have a better live, and don't have to worry about the financial problems. And we work hard to get a better salary, position etc. so that our living conditions will be stable. We want our children to go to the best schools. And we look forward to have enough money so that our lives will be easier. The most important thing for me is my family. I work hard for them.

That is a very big question & one that people have been struggling to answer for thousands of years.
I do feel that in todays capitalist society the meaning has been somewhat twisted. Too much focus is on having the latest big screen tv or car etc. How much you spend & how much stuff you have seems to be the most important thing.
Everything is available 24 hours a day & it's all about instant gratification.
I recently changed my life, no I didn't get religion or anything like that. I 'downsized'. I got rid of alot of my stuff, moved abroad & just slowed down.
