what are you spending your extra tax return on

well i got a letter in the mail the other day letting me know i was getting the gift from the irs. lol. we all know they want us to go shopping but really what are you spending yours on? personally i am spending mine on bills, gas, food, etc. that and i do have to admit my kids need clothes badly so i will get them a few things spend like 200.00 on each kid. considering all of there clothes are small , holes , etc. i just cant spend it freely on things i want cause there are so many things we need. now if gas went down and food prices went down different story i might be able to afford to buy something i want lol. how about you

We are to getting much so it is probably all just going into our saving account for the time being. We will spend it, just not right away. I am looking forward to May 16th when we find out just exactly how muc money we are getting.

There is a calculator on the IRS webiste that will tell you how much you are getting you will need to have a copy of your 2007 tax return to use the calculator.

I know what you mean. Gas prices and the cost of food and all these days are really taking their toll on us too. My husband and I are working seven days a week and barely making it. We have been wanting to finish our backyard project and put a roof over one of our decks top keep the weather off of the backside of the house. We have had some damaging winds recently and some hale also and it is going to bust out my sliding glass door windows. We had canopies up but the wind tore them down. I am working on paying off some bills now but the money seems to go elsewhere all of the time for these rising bills.

I got the same letter and I guess that if I do get it I will spend it on bills and giving it right back to the government. I too agree about the awful gas prices. Like if the gas prices went down we would end up with more in our pocket books then we will with this rebate check.

I am planning on putting mine in my savings account. We are hopinng to buy a house really soon and the extra money will help with paying closing costs. My son has a birthday coming this summer to so will use part of it to buy his birthday presents with.
