What would the TV covergae be like if the aliens came...?

What would the TV covergae be like if aliens came to Earth and parked a huge UFO over New York, or Paris or anywhere?
Would the governments shut down the TV stations? Or would there be extensive coverge on all the news channels and TV stations?

I hope there would be coverage because I would like to see them handsome aliens. ^_^ That'll be the day. Hopefully before I die we could find more evidence that there are aliens out there. I was reading something a week ago that said that a new planet was found and that it contained water and methane. They said that this usally indicates a sign of life.
