How does the earnings update work?

I made tons of posts yesterday, and when my earnings were updated 10 minutes ago, I had only made 55 cents. That adds up to about 17 posts, and there was an extra three cents for an image posted. I posted bunches of images with my posts, too. What am I doing wrong?
Let me say that I believe that I post quality answers (you can look and see what you think).
Anyone have any info for me?

I think this site pays on quality of your posts, not just quantity. If you had a bunch of short posts, chances are you weren't paid as much for them.

How do they know how they feel about your post quality? If you check my post history, and the answers I have given, I feel that I have provided quality posts. Let me know what you think if you get a chance. :)
