Hello Mentals,
As the years drag by, some of you might have an occasional insight into the nature of our reality which expands the cognitive envelope a little. It seems to me that these things crystallize more commonly in the dreaming than the waking state.
Nothing like the adventure of being young and fresh and new to the world - but still perhaps part of the process of personal evolution, while we're still able.
I've been awakened lately to dimensions which confound my educated notions of space and time. It's been an "awakening" in a literal sense, because to this point I've been "asleep" to the reality of such other "dimensions".
That's not to say that I grasp or understand it - but I have "seen" it, know that it's there, and question which perception of reality encapsulates which. Which is superior, and which inferior, so to speak.
Padre Pio was reported to have the fully-developed faculty of bilocation, that is, the ability to be in several different places at the same time. On being questioned by a friend as to how he did this, the Padre replied with something about how one exercises one's personality. This was quite the puzzle for me - I'm unable to connect the dots between the nature of one's personality and the ability to appear in several places at the same time.
But our separateness from the material world - our existence independent of the experiential dimensions through which we perceive what is not ourself - might give some clue as to where people like Padre Pio existed.
In some sense, we are each composed of more than a singular awareness, at least as far as the limits of space and time are concerned. I don't know exactly why, but a recent experience has opened my eyes to that dynamic just a little. Within the realm of time and space, we each appear to be a cohesive whole, but from an external vantage point I have a suspicion that we're each more like a conglomerate of discrete elements.
The world is not what it seems - like wheels within wheels, or the layers of an onion - there's a whole lot more to who we are, why we are, where we are and even what we are than is evident from a material view.
I grant this might sound quasi-religious, but I'd counter that religion has no real purpose if it's not based in reality (or vice-versa).
Anyway, if you managed to wade through that lot, any gem of clarity you might be able to toss my way would be welcomed. Hopefully some enlightened persons might be able to suggest strategies for dealing with experiences for which the notions of time and space fall a little short.

Hahahaha! Why am I not surprised that no mylotters have responded to this discussion?
I want to write a story that takes place in many different dimensions, in fact it is going to include clear and concise instructions on how to switch dimensions without losing your balance. I can't write the book till I figure it out though, and can do it consistently and with ease. I have stumbled into other dimensions by accident, but I am practicing everyday doing it deliberately.
There is a certain section of the road here where I live that when I walk on it I can 'feel' the presence of a Cherokee young man (I think it's Cherokee anyway). He is so alive he vibrates incredibly strong. He is a brave but I think he is also medicine man later or something. I'm just piecing it together from what I've seen. He usually has a dog with him. He is very brave and very wise and very curious. He has become aware of me as well and seems to walk beside me at times. I have seen him on the mountain ridge, with his dog, stalking me through the mists of time. I don't know if he is an individual who is currently living in another dimension that is called the past, and this is the particular location that we share, or if he is one of the personalities of my 'conglomerate' self.... hehehehe, some would say he is a figment of my imagination. Oh well, either way, I would like to enter that dimension at will. I wonder if you can get lost in other dimensions?? Better get a good compass huh?
Based on the stuff you said, I think you would be interested in a book called 'The Nature of Personal Reality: A Seth Book' by Jane Roberts. It makes very interesting reading, that's a fact. Seth is a 'non-physical' entity that spoke through a woman known as Jane Roberts. I think she gave ESP classes too. This is one of the books that he, Seth, channeled through her. If you do locate the book and read it then let me know how you like it!
