The sniper incident in Bosnia is yet another example of Senator Clinton failuring memory or part of a pattern of lying. It seems that she told the Today show that on 9/11 she was worried about her daughter who was out jogging near the World Trade Center and happened to duck into a coffee shop as a plane hit the World Trade Center. Chelsea tells a different story. She was with a friend in upper Manhattan. Then there was the speech she gave tell how she felt what discrimination was when she was playing intermural soccer in Middle School. The opposing goalie said they wanted to hurt someone who was born in this country. Then there is the famous statement that she was named after Sir Edmond Hillary, who became famous a few years after she was was born. She and the Media are quick to charge President Bush with lying about the Iraq War. The intelligence is well documented that most of the world leaders believed the same intelligence. Add to this Sadam Husane was telling the world that he did have the WMD. He did everything to convince the world that he did have them. Why is the media so quick to overlook the misstatements of Senator Clinton. The other question is can she be trusted as President. Will she be telling lies to the leaders of other countries to make her self look better.

her credibility keeps getting more and more shaky, but for some reason her popularity with certain persons keeps getting stronger... what is it that they find appealing? the fact that she is a woman, or liberal... does integrity hold so little value anymore?

The media is starting to turn on her so her popularity may drop.

Very well stated. I admit I cannot stomach the woman. She seems to have more faces to turn to show then public then Barbie has careers. Although I do think this country is ready for a female President I really hope it is not her. Now I will admit most politicians rarely tell the whole truth but at least most are smart enough to keep their lies straight and to not get caught over and over again on it. She doesn't seem to be able to that. Everytime she speaks I have to wonder if she thinks before she does it.

Please Hillary lost credibility when she stood by Bill Clinton after his numerous affairs. Also allowing Bill to drag her down while he is campaigning for her.Why would she speak the truth when shes married to a liar as well. All Politicians or most are good at masking the truth.

she had to stand by President Clinton or she would be just another lawyer. She wants power and having the Clinton name is the way to that power.

Hillary Hillary she lies lied and she lies. What was the need to lie about where her f daughter is when that incident took place. All for votes. I think she never knows what she is speaking a fanatic. These things happen with these kind of politicians. Those things are absolutely wrong but why does she do that. Forget her telling lies to the leaders of other countries what if she is telling lies to us (the Americans) about the economy, war, nukes, afghan, iraq, and the next etc. Barack`s pastor might have said Anti American stuff but barack never lied as much as Hillary. We are confused.

I am pretty sure that the media is NOT downplaying the lies that Hillary is stating. Whoever her speech writer is must be in some serious trouble. I have heard that Obama was thinking about having her as his running mate, if he does that then he is done too. I just do not know what to think but I know for a fact, I am all for women going for president but I will never in a million years vote for Hillary Clinton....I did not even care for her husband being in office either!

This is the first time I'm making an attempt to follow the US elections and unfortunately it seems more murky and bashy than I imagined with lots of dirty tricks and plays!

I don't know of a case where a politician hasn't lied to cover his/her tracks or to make themselves look better. I don't think the media overlooks her lies. If they did, we wouldn't know about them would we?

These lies are nothing more than a desperate attempt to try and validate her claims of being the most experienced therefore the most qualified to be president. All she is doing is demonstrating that she a liar, and that she isn't even smart enough to do it well. Furthermore she is making forcing people to be reminded of all the lies Bill told while he was president and of how he earned the name Slick Willie. In reality she is making herself look stupid and inept, because she is being careless with the lies she is telling as they are so easily disproven. This does more than anything to prove that she is not fit to be president.

I can't disagree that there's no defending Hillary's claim of coming under sniper fire in Bosnia and the part about being named after Sir Edmond Hillary may or may not have been made up by her (she claims her mother told her this, after all) but the claims that she said Chelsea was out jogging are false. http://mediamatters.org/items/200803270008 Hillary has been known to embellish and exaggerate, OK maybe even tell a little white fib or two - not at all unlike Mitt Romney - but I still feel Bush's false claims had much more serious consequences. CLINTON: She'd gone, what she thought would be just a great jog. She was going to go down to Battery Park, she was going to go around the towers. She went to get a cup of coffee and -- and that's when the plane hit. This is Senator Clinton Statement to the Today Show Sept 18. By the time of the interview she had talked to Chelsea and known she was 12 blocks (1.2miles) away from the towers not in Battery Park. Mr D. Morris and his wife, Eileen McGann, falsely asserted in a column that Sen. Hillary Clinton "said that Chelsea [Clinton] was jogging around the World Trade Center on 9/11 and happened to duck into a coffee shop when the airplanes hit. She said that this move saved Chelsea's life."Help me figure where Mr D. Morris was wrong except for he last sentence. Remember Hillary claims that she helped start Media matters - or is that a fabrication too.

lets ask the same of Obama. the media is not quick to overlook the statements, have you not been watching the news. it is on every station. all politicians lie. if you think that they are telling you the truth all of the time, then you dont know much about that world. If every politician's statements were analyzed you would find untruth after untruth. I think the media is making this a bigger issue than it needs. Obama's paster just referred to Italians as garlic noses. some may say that isnt so bad but it is a racially motivated statement. why stereotype any race...but Obama continues to lie that his pastor doesn't represent hate. what a lie that is. lets give that some more air time.

It would be nice if the media would do their duty and Investagate the candidates and give us factual reports. Thomas Jefferson was reported to have said he would rather live in a country with no government and a Free Press rather than a country with a government and no free press. It seems that the press wants to decide everything for us and then use the press to convince us they are right.

The only thing more disgusting than lying politicians is citizens who shrug it off when they do.

will senator Obama please do the same? he lies just like every other politician. It is called fabrication of events to make you look better in the situation you are describing. Every candidate who runs for public office does this and for that matter every person who interviews for a job they really want but may be not quite so qualified for does this. compare the lies and which one is worse...I think Obama's lie about his knowledge of his "former" (whatever) pastor's hate towards America is far worse and as a result will prevent me from voting from him. I dont care that Hillary exaggerated the Bosnia story at least she doesnt support hate of America or Americans.

When Senator Obama has a speech he can deliver it with style. When he has to talk off the cuff he has problems. Put the words in his mouth and he can deliver, but he gets into trouble when he has to think and give an answer.

"When Senator Obama has a speech he can deliver it with style. When he has to talk off the cuff he has problems. Put the words in his mouth and he can deliver, but he gets into trouble when he has to think and give an answer." How often have you watched Obama talking "off the cuff"? I mean, watch the whole interview, not the soundbites shown later by Hannity or O'Reilly. Did you see him on Hardball the other night? If there's ever been anyone who gets into trouble when he has to think and give an answer it's George W. Bush. Annie

Remember her investment of turning $1000 to $100,000 on cattle future trades? Most likely some trader did her favor while she was a governor's wife. White House then claimed that she did so because of reading Wall Street Journal. Then First Lady said she had no recollection about her investment. So often she played dumb when she was caught. That's why her popularity is low. Lying is an offense. Expecting people are dumb enough to believe her explanation is another offense. Please don't insult our intelligence.

And the Wall Street Journal did not cover futures trading until several months after that.
