Not Responding

I love my new computer BUT I have noticed that it often happens, several times an hour even.... That my mozzilla firefox gives the message not responding... so I close the programs and have to start all over. Though I like this option of resuming the same pages you were on I am getting a tad bit frustrated with these frequent freeze-ups. Do you have this trouble too? Is it a mozzilla thing or is it my new computer and vista?

vista is a bit problematic i heard but its definitely not a problem with your computer. a solution to this is that when you login immediately open the task manager and then end the program explorer.exe and the run it again then it will be solved hopefully.

More than likely Modesah it is vista. I hate vista, I have down graded so many new machines for customers who bought their new computers with vista installed, they all want to go back to XP.

I think there can be some problem with mozilla. I have also seen this in my home PC. i do not have vista but XP. in office I have XP and can use mozilla well.

There is nothing wrong with your computer, it is definitely your internet browser. There are some conflicts in having more than one internet browser even if you are not using the other one. I'm working as a technical support agent and we are recommending just using IE 6 as a browser for Vista, but if you really love Firefox you can try to uninstall it and reinstall it again. It is much better if you will download it again, your old file might be corrupted if it is freezing up a lot =)

I have this problem lately. It seems the connection speed is very slow in Mylot nowadays. I don't think it's a problem with your browser.

I'm having this problem too. And I think its not the firefox that is causing the problem. I'm not sure about the computer but I think its got something to do with the net connection or the site that you are visiting. Sometime I do get alot of not responding during certain time of the day.

I've been having this problem a lot with FF recently. It's happening on different computers, operating systems and web connections. The only thing in common is the sites. MyYahoo does it a lot, as does Yuwie.
