Is it a Nerd and Ugly thing? If it is... No reason to be rude.

I never heard that... In my country, I think people dont think that wearing eyeglasses is ugly or nerd.. I wear eyeglasses too.. I dont use contact lens because it is still expensive here in my country and I can save lot of money by using eyeglasses.. So if people in your place ctitize people with eyeglasses being nerd and ugly, come to my place, they'll think you are smart and serious person...

A person who wears eyeglasses is not always a nerd and is not always unattractive. A person who is a nerd or who is unattractive is not always wearing eyeglasses. It is a stupid comment for anyone to make about a woman, or a man. I think wearing eyeglasses makes a person look intelligent and I would prefer be thought of as intelligent than to be thought beautiful or fashionable.

I wear eyeglasses as do a lot of my friends and we have never been called nerds or ugly. Now days you can find really veryattractive glasses that actually make a face more sttractive indeed. Contactsaregreat for some people but others cannot use them so they need pretty glasses instead. Nerd or ugly is all in the eye of the beholder.

anyone must not criticize a person just because he/she wears an eyeglasses.. yeah, some persons wearing eyeglasses are "nerd", but lets consider that today's fashion includes eyeglasses.. we would know a person not because of the eyeglasses he/she wears but on how she carries his/her glasses... have a great day ciades!!

Yea,you are right.many criticize and make fun of persons who wear eye glasses.Espesially of those who have very high power and are forced to wear big ones.I am sure that some are more hansome / beautiful when they wear eye glasses.lol.well,thats ofcourse ,my opinion.I dont know in what point they say,that persons who wear eye glasses are nerd and always ugly??? Ugliness is not in face.Its in the mind.The persons who are really ugly are those who hurt others and donot understand the feelings of loved ones.Needless to say,the physical body, what we have is a temporavary one. I also do agree that ,its better to tell them more convincingly without hurting them, about those things.The persons who make rude comments will know the pain of rudeness only when you are at the receiving end.Hope,they would change atleast now. *raises hand* i don't mind being a nerd. Honestly. the nerds get the grades and the certs and obtain the jobs and ultimately the money. in fact, there is no such thing as ugly. only lazy. besides, glasses now-a-days come in all shapes, sizes and patterns.

i think that if you consiosly choose to wear glasses that some people think like nerdy, its your own choice. But i think that it should be noted that in general, if you look good, you have more chance to get a good first impression from others. Im not saying glasses cant be stylish, i have seen quite a lot of people who actually wore glasses that added to their features in a positive way, and everyone thought they looked less good when they wore contace lenses. All in all, i think it should be the persons own choise, after all, if all people dressed the same, wouldnt it be boring?
