New polls show how pastor has hurt Obama.

The Rasmussen Reports, a major and very credible political poll has released reports showing significant losses by the Obama campaign subsequent to the releasing of the videos of his pastor's rantings. The poll had Senator Obama with a 48 to 41 lead over Senator Clinton in the days before the videos of his pastor and now just over a week later the pol show a 180 degree flip-flop to give Senator clinton the lead at 46 to 44 percent.
Anyone who watches the Rasmussen Report knows this poll moves like molasses on a frigid January morning and a nine point turn-around is huge! I personally don't believe Barak Obama has said or ever will say enough to convince the American voters that he didn't know what blatant hatred his pastor spewed from the pulpit and evidently neither does the rest of America!

For the first time In my 30 years here in the USA I am seriously afraid of what will become of my country. If the only choices are Obama and McCain ..OMG that means potentially we could have a president (Obama) whose religious and racial background leans heavily towards the African Americans (why African) I am an American not a British American! Also with a strong Muslim heritage. OR McCain who admits to not really knowing too much about the economy and that we should keep running our country's spending into the ground by subsidizing a very unpopular war.
What a SCARY choice I just hope and pray that Hillary makes the Democratic nomination.

Whiteheather,
Although we have agreed on several things in the past, on this one we do not. Whereas I do want Hillary to win the nomination because I don't want Barak Obama anywhere near the Whitehouse I'm still convinced that McCain is the lesser of the two (or three if you will)evils. Even though he still supports an unpopular war and this war is costing us astronomically its cost will pale drastically to the actual cost of Hillary-care if passed. Hillary is a typical, dyed-in-the-wool tax and spend democrat. She, like most (not all) democrats believe in the redistribution of wealth through taxation. Quite simply, tax the haves and give to the have-nots. The falacy of this type of government is evident in the welfare state created by the democrats from the Johnson era forward, it simply doesn't work!

I think I have said this before but I think I would vote for McCain before I could possible accept Obama.

Rodney, what is truly sad is after 5 months no cares about this story. Rev. Wrong is just another story. Sure all of those videos hurt Obama then but the same Rasmussen poll you used shows Obama leading right now. Of course Obama's lead is shrinking but it has nothing to do with Rev. Wrong, but everything to do with Obama's world tour. The idea that right now almost half of American would vote for Obama even though all of the thing that have come out about Obama.

I agree with Whiteheather. I dont think Obama would be able to beat McCain in the general election. this whole scandal will weigh far more when that time comes. it is a cake walk for him now but in the GE, it is a very different world. I dont understand how people still think that the man will do our country justice. his judgement favors one race...what about all of the rest of us.

I don't know if you look at the daily tracking 3/9 Clinton had a 47% to 45% lead on this poll so I wouldn't read to much into those day to day numbers. It seems like every day they change a few points with or without Wright.
I do agree with you that Rasmussen is a good source though and if you see they are projecting 80% chance of Obama winning the nomination right now.

Also a Wall Street Journal poll came out a few days ago very interestingly showing Obama losing 2 points of support from the Wright issue, however showing Clinton taking even more of a hit because of the negativity she has brought to the primary. And this was before the 4 Sniper misstatements were brought to the public's attention.
While I do agree with you the Wright situation has hurt Obama and even upset me a little that Wright is so small minded as I have found a few more dumb comments made, but I don't see it as the scandal people think it is. I compare Wright to Hagee, Falwell, and Parsely and call it even as both sides of the aisle now have their religious nuts.

Rasmussen reports are very credible. To speak for Obama his pastor has just taken away his presidential post,Mc cain i am sure he is going to start where bush has left.
Now coming to Hillary she should stop speaking lies. She should stop speaking lies to convince Americans that she can rule America well.
Obama he should make a strong judgement whether he wants America or his pastor.
Waiting for results Love America.

If I belonged to the KKK and tried to tell you I didn't support KKK views would you believe me?
I've been a church goer my whole life, and while I don't support every single opinion my pastor has espoused, if I heard my pastor make racist ugly comments, you can bet I'd cancel my membership to his church.
It is inexcusable that Obama continue his membership in an organization that is so obviously racist and anti semitic. The problem is, it's too late. The racist cat is out of the bag
