I don't understand why Cricket Australia why against ban of sledging is it that they are going to lose a main weapon of their as in the form of sledging. It has been their main weapon after their performance. They are worried about that they believe that can easily bring down confidence of some teams but it didn't happen rather it is getting messy with sledging once you start it the other team tends to do the same and that won't look like a game but something else so we want to see the best performances given by both sides of the team not their sledging. Cricket has been called as a Gentleman's game.

ICC's decision to ban sledgingfrom the cricket is appreciated but cricket australia is not in favour of sledging as sledging is the main weapon for them to boost their confidence in the ground for that reason they are opposing . By sledging they depressed other team in the ground and they win easily over their opponent. It is proved that if sledging is banned then australian team will be no more super power.

I think without sledging they cannot play better cricket so they are want this sledging to be part of the game. As we have seen their bowlers are not so affective once you prepare mentally to face them. They want to bring down every teams confidence in the world by this sledging.

I think, the Aussies play less of a cricket and sledge more. What is the use of such a champion side if they are resorting to unfair means? They - the CA should not ban sledging. The ICC should ban the Aussies who don't deserve to be a part of the gentleman's game.
I think go and tell this to the Aussies. It's they who first got into it and are still continuing with it. I think it was one of the Chappells who first did it in the 70s. I had read it somewhere in the newspapers. If I am wrong then my appologies. But whatever the past, the present is that, Cricket Australia had to come on the brink of issuing a notice to all the current players playing in the Ashes along with Ponting that sledging will not be done. They have got to behave themselves you know. This takes away the spirit of the game and the other team feels cheated who are playing in the right spirit of the game. Cricket is a gentleman's game. And if the gentlemen themselves are doing the un-gentlemanly things, then it will not be good for the game of cricket.

Would say that all teams do undertake some form of sledging - just that when Australia play India it seems to go beyond the boundaries of sportsmanship.
Australia v England games are full of sledging but it is much more playful focusing on ability. For some reason though Australia v INdia always makes the headlines. Personally think it is because Australia see India as thei rbiggest threats at the current time
