What is THE BEST MATCH DRINKS FOR YOUR CAKE?

I like to eat my cake with tea or coffee. It washes the sweet after taste of cake in my mouth and gives me that satisfying feeling.

When having cakes, I only drink milk.. But milk is really not cheap here..so I have to drink water... How poor...

Like you, I prefer eating my cake with softdrinks as juice wont be a good match as juices are tart and contradicts the sweetness of cakes. But sometimes I also drink it with some coffee or tea, the cold ones.

I guess it depends on what kind of cake i'm eating at the time. But usually I think that milk tastes good with most types of cakes especially chocolate, strawberry shortcake, coffee cake, red velvet cake, and cheese cake. All of this "cake-talk" has made me soooo hungry...maybe i'll go and eat some cake :-)

I like a big piece of chocolate cake, and a cup of black coffee. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to that, and I'm really REALLY happy. Put some chocolate syrup on the vanilla ice cream, and WOOHOO!!!! ;-)

I like coffee with cake and always make a pot when we're having cake. We're having birthday cake this weekend and I'll make coffee even if I will be the only one drinking it. Gotta have it! I'll also have to have soft drinks and bottled water on hand because that will be what some of the folks will want I'm sure. ,,,whit

I am the same as you. Not necessarily for the same reasons though. I drink soda with my cake. Heck, I drink soda with everything. I do not like milk or coffee.
