Does anyone know of a good way to promote our Helium articles? I signed up in November and have only like $5.50 in my account. The earnings are agonizingly slow there.

How about having a Helium logo in your email. I have one in mine and my earnings have increased tremendously. Another pointer would be to concentrate on getting bulk good quality articles out there until you get a regular income and then you may not need any publicity. I took that route and just concentrated on writing. It works for me.

I started out with Helium but have since stopped writing for them completely. I don't think it is a good networking site - you can't add friends or favorites or really try to find anyone else's stuff to read & comment on to help you gain some exposure. For awhile I tried searching sites like yahoo answers for things I could leave a relevant link for - like an article i wrote about finding sheet music - but mostly after a few months of earning nothing I gave up on it compltely. The only think I find Helium useful for is article ideas under their marketplace or titles needed...but overall I have done much better on Associated Content earning about $9 this month...not that $9 is anything to write home about, but at least I don't feel like I've wasted all my time and effort!

I have been writing there less as well. I don't like that I do all that work writing an article, that earns .07 after 4 months. Especially when I know I will get paid more for that same article on Associated Content. I tried some contests at Helium, I thought if I could even win the $5.00 prize it would at least be something, and though I almost won 3 times I never did win. It's too much work for almost nothing, I wish there was some way to get more traffic or hits.
