Yahoo joins Google's OSP

Web major Yahoo has also decided to join Google's Open Social platform to create common standards that can be used in all social networking sites. The common standards will make it easier for developers to create applications for such applications for such sites. According to analysts, Yahoo's decision to cooperate with Google has also much to do with Microsoft's attempt to take over the former. Through Yahoo and Google are big rivals, they see eye to eye in the need to fight off Microsoft. Google Started the Open Social Foundation last year, and My space, Linked In are all supporting the project
