I just came across this list of our usa states and they are listed to the most dangerous states check it out where do you live is your area safe in your eyes?i live in missouri just across the arkansas state line so i am in the save zone some what.

the rankings of the safest and most dangerous states are determined using rates for six crime categoriesmurder, rape, aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, and motor vehicle theft by calculating a stat's position relative to the national average for each category. crime catergories are weighted equally, so that state comparisons are based purly on how states performed against the national average. the weighted, aggergate scores are totaled, and a state is assigned a final score. the farther blow the national average a state's crime rate is the safer it ranks, the farther above the national average the more dangerous.
