I must admit that I've already forgotten most of the knowledge learned during my school time. You know, the chemistry,physics,politics,history...some of them were really boring.Although I may get high score at the final exam,I barely remember some details about those subjects. That makes me wonder:what on earth did I learn from my school? I think just some basic skills, such as writing, getting along with others, something like that.
So, what did you really learn from your school?

i think elementary school and high school was a big joke...i learn sh**! i used to try hard not to fall asleep in class. i learned mostly on my own but following the examples in the chapter. sometimes i wonder why we had to go to school. it was a waste of time for me. i got average grade but i didnt really try very hard, just did the minimal requirements. i am glad i didnt waste my brain cells and try to hard because getting a job is based on connections and i dont have any connections. companies hire blue collared white or ethnic on quotas, and i am neither. but i am happy with my education: ba in social science, executive mba and graphics diploma. i am an indie. i self-published my first novel on my own, and working on a 2nd one. i did a lot on my own, and i feel accomplished professional without anyone's help.

Oh I just forgot most of the things they taught me in school. I didn't learn much in school. They did not taught me how to start my business and become rich. What they taught me was to become a good employee.
I learn much on the outside when I observe people, experience things, and read books!

The most important things things you learn in the first twelve years of school are socialization, how to learn and a few basics to help get you started in life. If you go on to further education many of the things from those first twelve years can be built upon for whatever field you choose. You obviously learned enough English to start this discussion in an understandable way, so comunication was a success, and I bet you can count the change when you pay for something, so some math skills linger on. You may be suprised how much you did learn and now just take for granted. Oh by the way, I am not a teacher...LOL
