How to find a good keyword if you want to start a topic?

Did any one know how find a good keyword if I want to start a topic? ;The keyword that have lots of people search, other keyword that relate your keyword or topic, most people search on the specific place (eg. In Vancouver, Canada, what top 10 keyword are the most people search)??? Anyone can help me?

For me, the keyword is the first word that would pop into someone's head when thinking about that particular topic.For example,on a topic about the law of attraction, good keywords would be visualise, believe, manifest. vague and insubstantial keywords would be hope, imagine, picture. Each topic has its own life and lingo and it must be well known so that readers can relate to it.
