I guess it depends on what your interests are and whether you'd be interested in the same kinds of movies I would suggest. "Schindler's List" really made me think, and I believe it's a movie that every responsible person should see. I also feel "What the *Bleep* Do We Know" raises some interesting points-of-view.
What do you look for in a movie? Are you interested in movies that make you think? Do you like movies strictly for entertainment purposes? Do you like to be scared? Is romance your style? Or would you rather laugh? What is it about movies that interests you?

I have a lot of good movies that i liked very much and would recommend you watching. I really liked "The Guardian" very much as it was very entertaining and kept me interested the whole time and had its ups and downs with emotions. It was really sad near the ending. I could see this happening in real life as well and probably something similar to it has happened. I also loved Lord of the Rings, Gladiator and Titanic.

I will list down my favorites in the various languages that I watch movies in. You can pick the ones that you like:
1) English: Jerry Mcguire, Gods Must Be Crazy and LOTR
2) Hindi: Anand, Lagaan and Sholay
3) Tamil: Kuruthi Poonal (Believe me if you see this movie you would find Departed to be trivial in comparison), Nayakan, Indian.
Cheers!
