I need help for my job interview

Okay, so in a few months I will be graduating (hopefully) but some companies are already requesting for a job interview. I do not want to miss the opportunity so I take it. I had a job interview last month and it did not went well. First of all, I was really nervous. The HR lady told me at the end of the interview that next time I should be speaking in straight English. I was so nervous that when she asked me questions like "why did you choose your course?" or if she asks me to tell something about myself my mind goes blank and I utter the most stupid answers. It is so embarrassing! I have read some tips from the internet of course but I want to hear actual experiences.
