You then accidentally find out that they are in fact famous, and maybe even someone you admire!! Would this change how you then interacted with that member? Would you immediately agree with every word they printed or would you still stand your ground and carry on putting your personal opinions on? Would you hound them constantly trying to be their best friend and try to impress them or would you just carry on being your normal self?
I have to say that I would be drawn to them more and would tend to be answering every single discussion they put on, I would still be myself though I would not try to impress them with rubbish!! Well I would like to think that I would not ha ha.

still interesting topic discussion would be my first consideration to give my response in their discussion so i think i would reply any discussion (especially frommy friend list) which i see intereting enough to response. however, sometimes i really concern into new user discussion and see which one that really need help from us. i do that not because to look any popularity in here, it just like i seen myself in the first day in here and didn't know what should to do and i already promised to myself that i would help others who seem as like me before

Hmmminteresting discussion gemini my friend! I would think that I would be drawn to them and their discussions but that I would still be myself and retain my own opinions! I can be influenced on my opinions and views by facts but hopefully not just because someone else has a different one! xxx

Yes I would definately respond to all their discussions! I would still try to be me, but if they put something I disagreed with then I might sugar coat it a bit! I am not sure if I would request their friendship or not, I may be scared that they say no!!

I dont think I would be able to shy away from their discussions if I knew they were someone famous and possibly one I admired. I would still however give them my own thoughts and opinions about whatever they discussed, even if I disagreed :)
Thanks for the adding me :)

If it were someone I admired, I would definitely be honored! Imagine someone famous is actually hearing you out. I think that would be more of flattering. But then that person's status in life wouldn't change my points of view. If I disagreed to something they thought, I maintain my opinion, unless they have a point that's strong enough to convince me to change my thoughts. This is how I really am.

I would be definitely thrilled if I am responding to someone famous here in mylot. I would do my best to be a friend with that person , but I will still respond to discussions accordingly and not sugar coat.

Great discussion, wow wouldn't that be good! I guess it would depend who they were, if it was someone I really admired I would check out all of their discussions, but I would only respond to those that I knew anything about, rather than waffle. I would treat them the way I treat all my friends on Mylot, no different, just because they are famous, they are still human and still have the same thoughts and thinking patterns and will not always agree with you and vice versa. Their status is different but nothing else.

Hiya wolfie34, I would waffle, not just because they were famous but because I waffle a lot anyway, I am just a waffler and can just go on and on about nothing ha ha.

if that is the case, i guess i will still be the same, most probably only ask him to be added to my friends list and just post and respond to his discussion the same way i do with others. he he besides what will he even think if i try to impress that person, i could be giving away too much of myself on one person alone.. which is very unlikely of me.

No, because they will have joined the site for an honest opinion... they wouldn't want you to suck up to them, or they would ask the opinion of their famous friends. Often, they like to get away from the limelight, and experience the "natural" life, and I wouldn't encroach on that.
I met Van Morrison once, in a chat room, online, but I think I treated him as all the others on my friends list. On New Years Eve, that year, I sought out all my friends, to go and wish them a Happy New Year... him included. He wished me a HNY back, thanked me, and I left the room, giving my thanks to him. They must be sick of people sucking up to them because they're famous. He did tell me he was having problems with a woman stalker, and I certainly didn't want to be put in that category.
Brightest Blessings.

I don't immeddiately agree with anyone, I don't care who they are.
I would probably check out their discussions out of curiousity. I wouldn't try and impress them. I also wouldn't answer their discussions if I had nothing of value to say.
I would still be me.

I don't think so as I do not always tend to gush over someone famous until I really personally know what they are like. I would stillbe myself I would hope.I would not hound them or try to be their best friend if they wanted to be friends with me fine if not fine to. celebrity as such does not impress me as much as actually knowing the person ie 'Britney 'Spears is a celebrity but I would not walk an inch to meet her at all. I could care less. I do not admire her I think she is a brainless twit.

I would have to agree that I would be drawn to them but no, I won't support every word they say if I believe differently. I would stand my ground unless I'm really in the wrong. I just think it foolish when people disregard their beliefs in order to impress someone or make someone like them. Why would you say that you believe him/her when in truth you don't? Don't you think that it's unfair to both parties? I mean what if that person was just saying nonsense? That he/she has no grounds on the claims that he/she is saying? Others who don't know his/her real identity would just laugh at him/her. With regards to yourself, are you willing to disregard your beliefs just in order to impress or have someone befriend you? Won't it appear as if you're taking him/her for a fool because here you are agreeing with everything he/she is saying when deep inside you disagree with him/her at every point? You can't please everyone and people certainly have different views with regards to topics. If you don't agree then don't, don't be a pretender for the sake of someone, be true to yourself and to your beliefs.

This is a good one!
I don't think I would change my opinions and immediately agree with them as I still have my own opinions. I think I probably would look up their discussions and join in more often than not. But then if they were discussions that I didn't like etc., then I think I would be happy not to reply to them either.
I like to respond to those people who I consider my friends and stick to them...

What a funny thought! I have actually met someone who was quite famous and his famous wife. I spoke to them both seperately and then together as if they were just anyone else that I had met that day (we were doing a free business course and they were going into business so decided to do it as well). My husband was a bit star struck and forced me to sit by them because he wanted to chat with them which I wasn't very keen on!
So in answer to your question I would like to think that I would just treat them like anyone else.

I guess I would be drawn to their discussions and I probably would be answering every one that they started. I wouldn't hound them and I don't think I would try to impress them either, I think I would just respond in the same way I do to everyone. I would still be honest with responses - or at least I hope I would!

I would still be honest with my responces, I would not really change my opinions to suit anyone else, if I was not sure what to put then I just would not answer.

If I admired them I they would be on my connection list and I would answer every discussion just as I do my other connections, if they are writing about something I know nothing about I would not answer a discussion simply to say I know nothing about this topic.
if they were just famous depends if I would answer them If I don't like what the have to say most of the time the answer would be a flat no.
would I agree with them just because they are famous?
what am I 10 years old?
No, way!

maybe i will be shocked at the beginning, while i'll calm down soon and try to treat them normally as one of my friend.i think thet come here on mylot not for famous effect or promotion.they may wish to relax and experience the common life, thus it's better for both of us to pretend unware of it and interact with each other as usual.

That would be a good idea, to try to let them keep the anonymity that they want and enjoy a bit of freedom as a normal person. Great thought!

You are kidding! No way, do you watch that show, I do watch it sometimes when I take the kids to school and come back. I cannot believe he would be like that, who would have thought it ah!! His wife won a radio competition to get married to a stranger and live a life of luxury for a year if she stayed married, I think it lasted 3 months and I think that is how he met her! What an excellent story,

There was a rumour circulating at Yuwie that a member there was in fact a famous celebrity and I rather got the impression that he enjoyed the anonymity of being able to just interact with 'ordinary' people. When asked outright if h was who people thought he was he didn't answer.
Equally some people build profiles with famous names on them as if pretending to be that person. It's almost like stalking.

I can imagine that it must be nice if you are famous to be able to interact like a normal person. If you are in the limelight a lot it must get a bit draining to be famous all the time.

I have thought about the same question.I would be in awww depending on who the person was to satrt with.I would like to think I would not become a stalker.I would still be my self and tell them my true thoughts.Hoping they like me for the real me.I would want someone to like the real me then the false me.Problay would like most people tend to answer all of their post but with my own style.{If it was Stephen King}{I would faint first then be so scared my key board would shake}{winks}

Stephen king, now there is a thought, can you imagine some of the discussions he could set up, brilliant. I am a fan of his too.
