A 10 year old girl with terminal brain cancer on her death bed wanted one thing to see her father the problem was he was in prison on meth charges he was scheduled to be released to a halfway house in August and released in February but the prison was not granting this request so the family had the story aired on the news and letters and phone calls bombarded the prison and with escorted guards the father saw his daughter for not even an hour she died the next day she held on long enough to see her father.
In times likes these do you agree it is right to let the someone out of prison if only for a little while to see there dying child?

What a heart wrenching story. I'm so glad that little girl got to see her father before she passed away. I'm glad the father got to see her too. I think there should be an exception made in an extreme case like that if the person isn't a huge flight risk or extremely violent.

I agree. I could see if he was charged with child abuse or murder to not let him out. I really don't think someone who is scheduled to be released in less than a year would bold anyway and he had escorts with him.
