tantrums,what would you do?

Well I have a issue with my 6 yr.old,every time you tell her to do something she screams ,and stomps her feet,I have tried my hardest to discourage her fro m doing that,but nothing helps.Do you have any advice?

Well, my suggestion is to let her throw her tantrum. When she finishes, tell her again. She'll probably throw another fit. You wait patiently (in the other room if you have to) and when she stops tell her again. Depending on your child, this might repeat for a while. Hopefully the cycle will teach her that she's still going to be expected to do whatever it is, no matter how much she screams.
