I got this from Family Feud.
The topic was to name a gift that showed it was obvious that the gift giver didn't give any thought to giving the gift. I'll go first. One of my ex boyfriends gave me pierced earrings only I don't have my ears pierced! I wear clip ons. I was so angry with him.

Probably a box a friend of mine gave me. She told it was a gift I would love so I was somewhat excited. When I opened it I saw a box, a nice box but still just a box. I though there was something in it but no, it was just a box with nothing in it.
I just thought it was a little bit useless because the box was nothing special.

I can remember a boyfriend who bought me a ugly old wizard statue. My mother took one look at it and told me I could not have it in the house as it was "evil" looking so I gave it back to him. He loved that I did as he liked it...
When a person purchases something for you that they like themselves without giving a thought to whether or not you would like it, it is a recipe for gift giving disaster.

Welcome to mylot I read you discussion I thought is was kind of funny, But didn't your Boyfriend know that your ears were not pireced?
I think I would of been mad too. because I feel that he should know that much about me, but men are clueless when it come to that.

I am trying very hard to remember at least one. I know I have at least received one, but I can not think of anything at this point. If I think of something, I will come back to this topic. That was really thoughtless of your guy friend, I would have been upset too.
But at the same time, men don't really notice details like that. He probably remembered seeing you wearing earrings and assumed they were pierced.
