I am concidering a min-pin as my next dog,do you have one?have any advice to give me about the breed?I have 2 young kids not sure if they are good with kids, because I know some breeds aren't,but I figure as long as there raised with children they should be fine.I'm no dog expert thats why I'm asking all my mylotters for some helpful advice.

I would not get a Min-Pin with small children. They are very small dogs and could easily be injured by a child. That in turn could make them bite or snap at the kids. Either wait until the kids are a bit older, or pick a larger dog that can handle a little more of the rough treatment.

Well thanks, but the min pin is an adult dog and is not really mini, she is good sized for a min pin, weighs about 30 lbs I would say.

Oh my god it weighs 30 pounds? that has to be wrong unless it looks like a sausage with legs! that is way too fat you should be able to see thier rib cage under the skin with a little fat under the skin and if you look at them from above they should tuck in at the waist and then flare out to the hips. I dont believe that a min pin is the wrong dog for children however I do think it should be a younger min pin for the children but I dont know how old your kids are and then I dont know how this dog is with your children or any other children, you have to remember over the course of your childrens lives they will have friends over. just a thought. I was an adoption counselor for 4 years, and have worked with animals for the last 8 years. In my personal opinion I LOVE min pins

They can be a little picky and sometimes have attitude. but they are great dogs, just get a puppy and raise it with your kids. I dont reccomend picking it up all the time or else you will never get it out of your lap and you dont want a dog that is that spoiled trust me I have worked with animals for 8 years now and we made that mistake with our big dog he was supposed to be a 8week old pit pup and turned out to be a 4 week old great dane pup and thinks he is a lap dog, we call him uor 100 pound chihuaha.
