Lost my favorite password software and now I found it

I use the Whisper 32 to keep my passwords, but the guy who invented it was getting so busy with life that he took down his web site. He had had it for so long, about five or six or more years, that it was assumed that the web site would be there. I lost the password keeper and I tried all the freeware sites to get it, until I found it on PC World. Apparently the maker of Whisper 32 had the good sense to send them a copy so if I lose it, I know where to get a new one.
Now has anyone of you had legacy software that you found somewhere online where you did not expect it?

Glad to hear you found a copy of your password software. I know you were going nuts after losing it.

I sure was. It was driving me crazy. I do not exactly invent easy passwords. I was phoning my two regular banks, my high interest savings account bank, going to my writing groups and going through hoops trying to get new ones.

Your welcome. I could type them up. I did that when we went on a trip and I was using my sister-in-law's computer. Now I have a pen drive. It is so much easier.

I've had to do that on ocassion when I would change a password and not write it down then forget it. Was such a hassle. Thank you for the best response, suspenseful.

I never heard of a system like this, what does it do exactly?

Well when you write complicated passwords and they no longer make your password keeper, you have to go to every sight and find out what they were. It is a bother.

I was always told that Roboform is a good password manager. Http://www.download.com and Oldversion website (I believe it is http://www.oldverison.com) are good websites to find old software :). Suspenseful, my trick is to keep a list of all my passwords. Trust me, it's located in the most unusual space so no one would think to look there. I find it most helpful when I just can't remember the password I look at my list.
Cheers
Pablo

I used to have RoboForm for a password manager but when I switched puters, I never downloaded it to this one. I have a list handy with all my passwords on it so I didn't bother with it.

I have Roboform, but the free version only holds eight. So now I have to pay for it.

So am I. I thought it was lost forever. Well I now have a copy of it, so when I get my new computer, or I have to format this one, I will have this on a cdrom.
