I don't know how long it would take for me to get to 100,000 because I take a break now and then. I've been here since September 2006 and I don't have anywhere near 100,000 posts. I probably will post for another month or so, and then take another break. Or, I'll get busy.
Right now, I usually aim for about 30 to 40 discussions on non-work days and about 10-20 discussions for work days.

That sounds about like me on the number of post. But, since I upgraded to dsl from dialup two days ago. I finding myself getting more accompolished and getting more discussions into.
The reason I asked on 100,000 post is that I started a discussion about mylot running a contest and to win the grand prize would have to be 100,000 discussions. The first to reach.
The people that replied really didn't do the math and how long it would to reach 100,000 discussions and many were saying Mylot couldn't afford to award a brand new car.

I know there's people who have a very high number of posts that started on this site about the same time that I did. But, they also don't have anywhere near 100,000 posts. A lot of them got that many posts from posting short answers, too and answer over 100 discussions a day. I think it would take a few years to reach that amount, so I don't think Mylot needs to worry about affording a car if they were to hold that kind of contest.

That's a rather fair amount of discussions in a day. I think I am at about that pace. I hope I can still peak in my numbers. I don't usually just respond to anything or do this for the money. I want to respond and actually make sense. I think that's more rewarding.

How many posts I make when I log in greatly varies. Sometimes I post only 4-5 responses while other times I can post 25-30, maybe even more. If I average, say, 10 posts a day, it would take an awful long time to reach 100,000 posts! It would take 10,000 days, which would be 27 years! Wow... even if I did 100 posts each day, it would still take me 1000 days, which would be a little over 2.5 years.
Puts things in perspective I guess, but 100,000 posts is a very high number. I may NEVER reach that many, unless I pick up the pace considerably! LOL

Hey Bethany, lol @ 27 years. Would Mylot still be here then ?
I figure that would be about average with 25 to 30 daily post, while many others have all day to spend here.
Did you see my discussion of Mylot contest of 100,000 post wins a new car. I was talking about what if, if mylot had a contest.
Thanks for the comment

I don't keep track. I do know that some days I do a better job of getting here than others, and am sometimes surprised by how much I've made. Seldom (since the big drop in pay back in the summer) been disappointed by how little I've gotten.

Yes it was a big drop in pay and I could pitch a fit. I only become really active just a few days before it dropped.

Acctually I dont keep track my mom sent me a message that I was 7 away from getting my first 100 and my star and then I got excited and watched it until I got it but, now it is cool to see the number change and all that but, you have to remember that I live in a tiny town in the panhandle of TX. and this is the only thing I have outside of that and because I run my bussiness out of my home, this is the only connection to the outside world that I have. I see real people about a total of 6 min. a day and its only about 2 people a day other than my husband.

Congrats on discovering your big star and making it to 100 post. When you reach 500 you can copy and paste.
Good thing you do have internet, you would be closed off from the rest of world for sure, with exception of TV of course.
Thanks for the comment. Oh, besure to check your dicussions that you've started and replied to. And the unsolved discussions too.

well for me it depends on the mood and the free time i have each day. sometimes i post 2-3 per day and sometimes less or more. i guess in this way it is really hard for me to reach 100,00 discussions.lol :)
how about you? how long you had your 845 posts made?

I've been a member for over a year. When I first registered I hung out a day or two and then left for over six months. Then I came back for a spell and made it to the minimum payout and had $10.00 earnings on my 200th post.
Then once i was paid, I stayed gone again for a month or two. Then the last 60 days or so I been active.
So, what I do now is try to average at least .50 cents a day.
Even if you just average .35 cents a day. This would clear you with a $10.00 net including the paypal fee's.
If you have high speed and work quick, you can very easily get in 35.
To answer your question to my game plan. Is to turn my post count by 50 a day.

I am not sure if it is even possible. I mean, mathematically it would take yeas, more than 20 years for those who keep up with discussions quite nimbly.
Honestly, I do not know if it is actually possible. I mean, I dunnno. 100000 discussions entails that one is gonna commit to mylot for the next decade or more. I can be okay with that. It's just that at this point in time, when I'm just started and have about more than 50 discussions on my belt, this concept sounds so unreachable to me.
Impossible is nothing thought, says Adidas. lol

Welcome to Mylot. First I must say. Everyone is a star with in. Just keep texting and you will discover your big star. Once you reach the 100 discussions you're star will come in.
Nothing is unreachable if one is determined and dedicated. Just stay focus and you will make things happen.
Make new friends and pitch in too. Before you know it, your discussion count will make money for you.

Well, personally for me, it would take yrs. and yrs. and yrs. and unless this site would continue to last this long, it will never happen for me. Even the highest posting member on here it will take quite a while. So in reality it could happen for some, but probably not for most.
Just my thoughts.

It would really take some time reach 100,000 post. By that time I believe we would all have experience in being a typist.

it would be about 20 months at 1.00 a day, but since I am already at where I am it not take that long at all.

I don't have set limit, but last week I have been averagin about 20-40 posts a day. That is including comments made on responses people have left. I count them as I find they earn more money sometimes, the more comments I make. 100,000 posts, too tricky to work out, only up to 600 been here nearly 3 months. SO not sure if I will still be around here then, lol.

I'm not sure myself which pays more or less. I've noticed my earnings go and down but maybe I should start tracking my count.
100,000 post would take some time, you should read my post about 100,000 post winning contest.

It took me 4 weeks to reach 500, so if I do 1000 in 8 weeks it would take me 800 weeks to reach 100,000. That means it would take me around 15 years! This week I have made about 200 posts, so I could do it in less than 10 years.
I have no idea how many posts I will make, so really I don't know the answer.

Thanks p2w. Your comment pretty much proves my point to the post I made about Mylot having a members contest for the first to make 100,000 post to win a new car.

Wow, that's quite a number! I honestly couldn't tell you, because my responses and started discussions vary each day. Somedays I start a bunch of discussions, and others I only start one or two. Today, I've only started one, I think. It would take me quite some time though, I know that much. The most posts I've done in one day was around 100. I haven't done that recently. I can't do that on days that I have to work, only on days that I have off. I won't have a night off until Tuesday though.

100 is quite alot. Since I upgraded to dsl I can move around and get more in then using the slow dialup. You're right on the responses and start discussions do vary day to day and as you say it all depends on our working schedule.

I am only ever on this site for a little while, and maybe get 20 posts in... I am not really sure on how Mylot works, does it count your posts, your discussion you start, how many people reply to your discussions, how many times you respond to a response...lol etc
