Join a club mate. Also you shouldnot think of anything and approach somebody you like. Keep your mind blank and start talking to that persons. You will find the results immediately.

You just need to talk to people about something you are interested in, or they are interested in. Ask questions, make comments, ect. Just be nice, and making friends won't be too difficult for you.

If you only have his or her name,you would better get her number firstly.You can ask some guy near her.Also you can follow her and get to know her friends ,interest,and her schedule,and so on.Then you can meet her in any time you want .So it is easy to find some excuse to talk to her.
