I always give my seats to the old on the public transport in China, however, when I took buses in the US or some European countries, I had never done this since people told me that this could be offensive. So,would it be offensive to you if you were over 65 year old?and will you take the seat that others offered?

Our buses have signs that ask people to please step to the read and that the front seats are reserved for the elderly or handicapped but most people ignore them. I will get up and ask someone if they want a seat and then will make a stink about it that no one else had the respect to at least offer someone the chance to sit down. That is one of the biggest problems, no one has any respect for anyone else.
