code of conduct and ethics for nursing assistants in the NHS UK

can they discuss patients with members of the public? can they use the ward computer for their own personal use with the intention of demeaning patients? are they allowed to use mobile phones to make personal calls and send text messages whilst on duty@ all these questions relate to closed wards for the mentaaly insane elderly

It is not only in UK, these things explained by you are seen in our country too (India). Regarding immoral, unethical, conducts by nurses should be condemned. These orderlies are not monitored by doctors or medical superintendents. The code of conduct should be one of the most important subject to be taught at nursing colleges and periodic review has to be done. Use of mobile phones for personal reasons and use of computers for personal reasons are nothing but gross misuse of benefits given to them.
