What is the one thing you totally love, but you have to give up? Something you love to do but couldn't do any more. For me that would be reading. I love to read and don't know what i would do if i had to give it up. What's is the one thing you would give up if you had no choice?

I love my computer. I cannot live without one right now. I have to earn from home right now and I sued my computer to do so. I cannot stand it when the electric goes off or I have computer problems or something that keeps me away from it. I am addicted to it. I would never give up my computer. I would give up the television first.

the big thing for me that i had to give up, no choice given, was running and walking normal. i was a healthy thin person when i was in an accident and i was disabled. the other thing i have to give up now is having children. my health doesnt allow that privelage. i thank God for my daughter that was born from this broken body. a miracle.

Amen to that Zorrogirl!! it's not what happens to us that determines who we are, but how we react to those things that make us strong more loving people.

It would be reading for me as well. I love to read and I would be very sad not to be able to read. I am a visual person and so it is important. But second would be listening to good and fun or relaxing music.

Reading and collecting comics. I was a fanatic back in my school days. Then Dad got canned. My allowanced was reduced. I had to give up the hobby as comics were expensive. Even when I switched to the cheaper chinese comics, I couldn't keep up with the titles. I was at one stage collecting so many titles, I sacrifice my meals to save on allowance to get them. Mum found out and reduced my allowance further, forcing me to go cold turkey. Once the habit of collecting was broken, I never really got back into the habit of collecting. Although I still do buy one or two comics once in a while, I am more selective in my titles now. No more series where I get hooked to following the characters and how they are developed. And after I got married, I was thinking, I cannot afford to have this nasty habit of mine get between me and my family. SO I sorta given up on collecting comics. For good.

one of my co-workers here owns a comic book store. I am not much of a collector of things. and i never got into comic books. i don't think there is anything wrong with having a hobby, as long as it doesn't take over your life.

True true! As long as it does not take over your life. But then, when I get into something, be it work or hobby, I get obsessed! And when that happens, it will be a while before I can let it go. Heh heh heh... not exactly something I want from a hobby to get in the way of life.
