Can you lie with a straight face?

I think a lie is detectable....I also have a hard time...telling a little lie...I think I give myself away...yes, everyone has a little hint of a lie...if you get to know a person.

My face goes red and I might stumble on my words a little bit.So it's hard for me to tell a lie and get away with it.

I get ill when I tell a fib. It takes a lot out of me. Even if I know the fib will be beneficial to the person I am saying it to.

NOPE lol...there is no way that I can sit there and be talking to you or something and be trying to lie to you and at the same time keep a straight face because I am sitting there thinking are you actually buying this or not...and as far as that goes I mean I guess thats really a good thing because I don't really try and lie anymore becuase I know that it isn't going to do anygood because everyone can tell when I am trying to lie so it really doesn't even do me any good anymore...so thats just me and my lying lol JHL930

well,i am the introversive type,if i lie,i will blush,so,i normally do not lie,yet,that's only for some comparatively serious lies; for some lies,just as you said to make someone feel better about themselves,it's okay with me,i normally don't give myself away cause i think the person i am speaking to knows i am lying to him or her,haha.

Hi~~~ We call this kind of lie "coshions of the blow",for me.I can accept it. And in my country I think 99% people will accept it, for the lie is goodwill,,or kindness, For me,I also have lied to my friends and parents, but it's difficult to watch the eyes of them, maybe humanity can explain it.

first of all i do not lie. actually i really find it hard to tell lie. even if for some small matters i am told to do, i can't do it very easily. so telling lie in straight face is not possible.

hi jill! i sometimes can lie with a straight face. usually about simple things that won't matter much. or something that would definitely save me and would avoid complicating a situation. i can lie straightly by not putting any emotion. its hard but its inevitable so i have to do it.

I have never been good at lying ( not that it is a virtue which I want to get good at !!). If I had to say even a small lie I probably would nto be able to make eye contact. Whenever I have lied ( yes we all do sometimes...) it has been on the phone mostly where I can't be seen. I think I wouldn't be a convincing liar but probably even won't give myself away.

I can not lie with a straight face. Only an expert in lying can do that. Whenever I lie intentionally, it shows on my face and my body movements give me away.

For me, honestly yes! hahah... In this case is jocose lying, such a lying that protect a person from some logical reason, and not to hurt other persons. Its like to keep the secret, i'm not reveal it, but answer the question about the answer in other way and not through the secret that i promised to hold. I even answer with logical reason, that makes person who asked me 100% believe something that is lie! Hmm... Nobody's hurt, i'm not 100% lying, and i can protect others. Of course if you hold a secret, you should keep it for your own data!!! hahaha... such intel pentium duo core!!! ahahaha

Nice question. After lots of practice and after earning the title of ice princess a couple of times, yes I think I can lie with s straight face. In fact, people think I'm most sincere when I am lying (probably because I put my utmost effort in being sincere). Ironic right? But I do not lie to hurt other people and spread ugly rumors. I only lie when I have no energy to deal with questions...

I am doing this, and strange that, no one can catch me. lol

Yes, I can tell lies with straight face. It's probably not a good thing to you or whatever, but i can't change it, nor do I want to.

I also have a hard time lying convincingly. I can always tell when people are lying to my face too. I was actually just thinking about this the other day. I'm not sure what it is about people when they lie to me but I just get this feeling that they are lying to me and I am very sure of it.

I hope I don't give myself away. The only time I lie is during gift giving season. So if they can tell I am lying , it will ruin the surprise.

My dad has always said that I am the worst liar in the world. I just can't do it. I can't look someone in the face and tell a lie and be convincing in any way shape or form. I even have a really hard time telling a little white lie like about someones clothes or haircut.

yep!! i shouldnt lie in the first place (but i only say small lies ) and when lie everybody belive what i say even though i feel like my face is burning lol

i can lie with a straight face yea i'm not proud of it but it's quite useful especially when you deal with a lot of people day in day out it's easier to tell half truths than the whole, especially if you know it could hurt that person however, we gotta make sure that the lie is worth it, as we all know, there will be consequences sooner or later

Yes I can lie, especially if the lie is easy to lie about. It is sad to lie about things but we all sometimes have to do it sometimes. At times I don't like to lie because it makes me feel guilty. There are times when I have to lie just to get someone off my back.
