Led Zep was ranked number 1 on Vh-1's best hard rock bands of all time t.v. show, recently. I have to agree! They speak to my soul. But I may be dazed & confused in Kasmir, lol. (pun intended)

Of course they are the best ever, but don't take my word for it. Think about this fact, of all the rock bands out there who gets the most radio request 30 years past their sudden loss of drummer John Henry Bonham, and what other band has a radio station catch phrase for playing their music. Let me see, turn on the AC/DC, I don't think so, but who hasn't heard the term Get the Led Out over the airways or from fans that weren't even born when Zeppelin flew the friendly sky's in their kick as custom Boeing full sized airplane. While other bands were riding in buses, some of the most famous people flew air Zeppelin and partied like no tomorrow. So maybe I'm wrong about this but I know there isn't a Led Zeppelin song that I don't like, whereas, I can think of a whole album that Queen put out that was as, well I won't say it, but it rhymes with may and that goes for the Stones and please, the only other band that even comes close to comparison as all time rock and roll bands is Pink Floyd. Not even the fab four come close to having the kind of impact on the way music is played today. The truly sad thing is that with MTv and the record industries policy on the length of a song that gets played on the radio, the days of great rock and roll are slipping away.

I think they are the best band ever simply because each of its members is/was outstanding in their field. Its hard for me to come up with many better drummers than Bonham snr, Guitarists than Page, front men than Plant and lets not forget the multi-talented Jones who it seems can play just about anything. But what really makes Zeppelin the best for me is the combination of the above. Totally awesome.

Yes.. i think so.
But too bad J Bonham Sr is no more around. And robert plant seems to have lost his voice.
What i can say thier songs are vintage. Still sound good although how many times i listened to them.
Rock On Zep!!

I guess it depends on who you're asking! Either way, they're obviously one of the best and record sales prove it.

They are undoubtedly up there with the best of them and have stood the test of time! I would put Queen up there as well. I only just recently downloaded an album of theirs with all the classics like "one Vision"; "Don't stop me now" etc and I still find it as engaging as ever!

I certainly love them and the interesting thing is that my kids and many of their friends do too. So that should make them that good.
Are they the best? I guess they can share that honor with some other great bands. But they're certainly up there.

When you ask for a "best" band ever I think it just all comes down to personal opinions and then people just end up saying their favorite. It depends on how you want to measure it, if you want to go by record sales then it isn't Zeppelin. I don't really believe in a best band ever, but I believe in favorites and Zeppelin does fall into that category.

I love me some Led Zeppelin!!!!! Best of all time, I am not sure. Without a doubt I would place them in the top five. Impressive record sales, that is for sure.
