Reading Aloud to Children Helps Them improve their listening skills and understand the structure of the written language. They will expand their knowledge in words also. Place words in meaningful context. Learn new ways of using language. Parents play the most important role in a child's life. its their responsibility to find out the reading readiness in their child. Most of the kids like to play with books at a very early age. There is nothing wrong to play with books and tear them. let them do it. thats the first step. The only thing that a parent should consider at this stage is they are not accessible to any paper pins or clips or other important papers or books. Do not force your child for reading. Only read to them, when they have book in their hand, treat it like a toy. Don't push them to say words when they cannot speak up. Just keep reading to them, when they are ready for that, they themselves will speak out.
