Which one is better INTEL or AMD?

I would like to buy a new processor.Now i am using a Pentium-IV. Among the dual core processors which one is better comparing the performance and price.Is there any other suggestions other than INTEL and PENTIUM with in the same budget limit.

I bought my computer two months ago and it has been working very well so i am always interested to work on this computer and also using Intel dual core processor and i think it is very useful for everyone.

I like AMD than Intel. My computer runs fast and I never had problems with speed since.

I think AMD is better than INTEL. It's cheaper than INTEL.And I always use AMD CPU.It can run very fast. And I use Kubuntu 7.10 AMD64. All in all,AMD is better than INTEL.
