I'm trying now to learn how to play the guitar. I admit it's really hard as I feel my hands are painful and what's more frustrating is that I can't hear the tune of the song in what I'm playing. How about you? how was your first time and what progress have you made?

When i decided to learn how to play guitar was not really because i like but i just want someone to teach me and i really like him.
Even though its was hard, i didn't mind it especially when my fingers are too tired or achy.
Because it is not really my favorite, it took me so long before i learn it, until now i only know basic but i can say that i can already play it.
Now a days, i have no time for guitar even my brother both it. I was the first who study playing it but my brother is great playing guitar.

Hi there. I think because music was in family, from our great grandparents down through to our parents, we heard it all the time and had access to the gat anytime we wanted. I had no probs with playing the guitar and I started at a very early age, I was something like 9 or 10 when I first picked up the guitar and pinged at the strings. Nowdays though, I play by ear as well as knowing a few chords... I have made huge progress since then, but wouldnt say I was a pro at it, because there are some off days when I dont even feel like touching the gat, and some days where I can easily get a sore wrist or fingers... Have a great day and never give up playing...

Well some years back i borrowed a guitar from my friend with a thought that i will join the neighbourhood guitar classes.
That evening i tried to strike the cords. But well when HE CAME AND TOLD THAT I have to work very hard and give a lot of hours to get used to it i gave up.

I started playing guitars about 2 years ago and now i consider myself as a really good player. I am not selftaught though. In the begginning it was really hard for me tostrike chords and i thought that the guitarteacher was stupid when he gave me a 3-chord song. After a couple of weeks of practicing i could handle the switching between chords really good. When you know all the basic chords it's not really hard, just about any rock/pop song can be played with just 3 or 4 chords.
Good luck with your playing.
P.S If you play the electric and don't know what amp you're going to buy, i suggest you check this blog out, it helped me choosing my current amp (it's not my site)
