Imagine if you played the same numbers in the lottery every week and for years and years you've never won anything, but because you play the same numbers to stop you know that they will come up!
Anyhow you send your partner out to put your numbers on for you, and they forget!
Well your numbers all come up and you are sitting there excited as hell because you have won the jackpot, you have won £8 Million. Yes 8,000,000 pounds or dollars it's all yours! You are speechless you start jumping up and down
Then you ask where the ticket is and then your partner confesses he forgot to put your numbers on!
Your reaction!
Would you scream at him, attack him, laugh or just burst into tears
Would you ever play the lotto again after that, would you ever forgive your partner again and would you still continue playing those same numbers?
Lotto out!

I would probably just cry.
Then I would laugh at the coincidence that they come up the time the ticket is forgotten.
I would play again, but definitely not the same numbers seeing as they would have already come up and its very very very unlikely they will come up again for some time.

Sweetheart
I would start praying
right then and there
And my prayer would be
Oh God...
Please help me
keep my hands in my
pockets and Lord
Help me not put
my hands around
that skrauny neck
of that forgetting
idiot that is my
partner! AMEN
lol

People are human so I would not blame him for forgetting the ticket. It was money I wouldn't have had any way and it was a very slim chance that I would have won it anyway. But murphy's law being what it is of course the day that the ticket is forgot to be bought is the exact day that the numbers were winners. Me being who I am would just have started laughing and tease at him in a serious way. Than when I have seen that he was truly sorry I would have forgiven him. [em]lol[/em. Relationships are much more important than money and although it would have been nice to win a big bunch of money like that why would I scream or get upset with the person. I would change the numbers only because they came up that time and the likely hood of them coming up again any time soon are not very likely.

That is just the way I am. Money to me is something that a person needs to have and you don't have to have a lot to be happy. I love my husband a lot and it would be very petty of me to get upset over something like that.

Can't put here what I would do - but it would ensure we definitely couldn't have any more kids! lol One of the many reasons I stopped putting the same numbers on the lottery , could you imagine how you would feel? I'll stick to the lucky dips when I get tickets! xxx

Oh Wolfie when the lottery in UK first came out it was a Saturday night only and I always done the same numbers, my mum used to buy about six weeks at a time. Well they suddenly introduced the Wednesday night which we didn't do and yes you've guessed it my numbers came up! Mum said she felt rooten as she was going to add the wednesday but didn't. I was not then or am now a monetary person which is just as well and just felt if it was meant to be she would have bought the ticket or they would have come up on the Saturday eh! S*ds law. Since then I occassionally have bought a lucky dip but have never kept the same numbers and it doesn't really hold the same interest. I am lucky and blessed in many other areas of my life. The money would have been good to have but not a major and I most definately didn't blame or get angry towards my mum and if I had I don't think I would of had the right because I should have gone and got my own ticket eh! I do remember feeling a bit gutted at the time though as I think anyone would eh! Ellie :D

OUCH! and double OUCH! That is definitely sod's law! Now they have so many draws, even daily would you believe! It gets out of hand and I think it best NOT to keep the same numbers and have a lucky dip then if you don't win throw that ticket out and don't look at it again. I would have been GUTTED!

LOLOL..i think i would just laugh!!!!..im always saying to hubby ..oh for gods sake stop wasting your money on that lottery !!!...but lol..i know he will do it whatever i say....im not really too worried....
But if it were me i wouldnt ever bother doing it Wolfie...its better to put 50p on a gee gee the odds are shorter!!!!
But then again.i think its the hope that a big win will happen that keeps people going.!!!.but i wonder what would happen if a massive fortune landed on our doorsteps!!...i wonder...it may be a lot different that we think...what say you???
The scratch cards are the same lol...you win £1...so you buy another card...and win £2...and it goes on....oh lordy im an old miser!!!!!

I it kinda happened to me, I played the same numbers for years, then I decided I didn't want to play anymore and a few weeks later my numbers came, out, I was so disgusted but what can you do, what is done is done. I would probably feel the same way if my partner had forgotten to play them.

Well, first off, I'd probably cry then rant a bit, but I'd get over it...I hope.
Aw, who am I kidding? I'd never let him forget it--at least not for a long time. Poor guy would probably be kicking himself for missing out on the money.
He hates that I work so much, but his back is shot from too much hardcore manual labor as both a child and an adult, so unless he hits the Powerball or I land some luck and my sites take back off, work it is.
hahaha, love the title of this discussion tho. Lotto-lucko is sure something I could use right now.

Hi Wolfie
to be honest, I think I would probably cry - lots. After the tears there would be no recriminations, it is human nature to forget things sometimes and at the end of the day it's one of those unlucky things that happen. I would probably still play the same numbers through, in the vain hope that they would come up again.

First off if I decided to play the lottery, there would have to be a good reason. Because I never risk money. I would rather put a dollar a week in the bank and save it for all those years.
So say I was a gambler and did play the lottery each week. I asked my partner to play my numbers and he forgot. I would be so mad I would put him on a huge guilt trip telling him he would have to pay all my bills for the rest of his life for forgetting. Plus buying me a new car a new house etc etc. The guy better have great credit coz he would need it .I would not let him forget this lol I am very good with guilt trips lol But I dont just do it for little things. It has to be something HUGE. Something I kn ow I am right about and they cant win no matter how they try lol
Hows my Wolfie doing today?? xxxxx

i don't think the person who forgot my numbers would dare to come near me,for at least a few weeks.then i would cry.one of best friends won lotto along time ago now,but her and her workmates always had the same numbers every week and were about to pull out as they had never won.then they won over 100 thousand dollars,so my friend had a deposit for a new home,so good things do happen to those who wait.i am still waiting.cheers sue

I don't know what I would do. I usually just do a quick pick when I would play. But I think I wouldn't depend on someone else to do that for me anyway!!! If I didn't do it myself, then I couldn't blame someone else if it didn't get done. That is ridiculous!!!

I remember playing lotto maybe 5 times in my life.
If I will do it again I would do it myself and keep my tickets.
I don't count on others.
I wouldn't cry, I wouldn't be upset.
Whatever happen, it happens for a reason.
Another reason to learn....

The god give me some hope but suddenly take it away.I think everyone will be nuts.Cause it's human being to do so.If this happen to me,I will be upset for a week and then recover. Then I will choose other combination of numbers instead.

What a horrible thought! I would cry and cry and I would not forgive him for a long time if at all and that is the truth!! In our local newspaper not so long ago a similar thing happened to a couple who live around our area, they were out and suddenly remembered to put the lottery numbers on, they had 2 lines that they used every week without fail but they could not remember the second line of numbers and so they just put the one line that they did remember on instead. Yep you guessed it the second line of numbers came up, but they had forgotten that they had not put them on and got all excited and phoned their daughter up telling her the good news and then they looked at the ticket, oops!!! I would probably change my numbers though after that.

I think I would cry buckets and go straight to the nearest pub (if I were in the UK) and drink to my sorrows! Of course you would blame your partner but you have to get over it. It obviously wasn't meant to be! I would probably never play those numbers again and start afresh (groan!!).
I have been playing the Lotto since it started in the UK and have been part of a syndicate since then. Even now I still play. I haven't been living in the UK for 3-4 yrs but they still get my dosh because I just KNOW that the day I stop playing they will win zillions. Funny how you just get addicted to it!
