When I lived at home with my parents, my dad was always the better cook and he would make most if not all of our meals. Now I have left home and have my own family then I do the cooking, it is very rare that I let my hubby in the kitchen. But if he did get in the kitchen, then I reckon that he would probably be a very good cook, as he is one of those people that can turn his hand to anything.

My dad seldom cooks, but when he cooks, it's delicious. However, I still think my mom cooks better. As she has some cooking books and she is interested in it. Although she failed to one soup lately, but I still think it's only an accident. She still cooks very well in my opinion, and my husband thinks the same.

Generally all Moms are best cook, due to practice. Dad also can cook, in all big hotels there are gents cooks. But in home they are lazy.

My dad wins hands down on this one. Years back, when my dad was still alive, he did much of the cooking at home. My mum could also cook and did some dishes occasionally, but my dad was regarded as the chef in the house. After I got married and lived on my own, I used to look forward to coming home once a week for a meal, and my wife and I would be welcomed with a hearty meal cooked by my dad. He would do special dishes like chilli crabs, steamed pork ribs, curry chicken and specially boiled soups. He loved to cook and would be delighted when he sees us praising and enjoying his food.

Who is the better cook?, hum, I would have to say my mom heads down. She can make anything taste good. Now my dad, I think the only thing he knows how to cook is onions and potatoes. Growing up, we always dreaded if something happened and my mom had to go to the hospital. I will never forget the time my dad caused cream of corn become pop corn, . He had a glass bowl of cream corn sitting on a burner and accidently turned the burner on to high. Well, we didn't know until we heard a bang and a pop pop. We ran to the kitchen to find that the cream corn exploded and basically stuck into the ceiling. We had to help my dad pick glass out of the ceiling, the wall, along with the corn, then repaint the ceiling all before my mom got home. From that point on, my older brother did the cooking.

Oh no, don't let my dad fool you, that's all he knows how to cook. At breakfast, he does something different. He cooks eggs, bacon all together with potatoes and onions after that, .

I'd have to say my mom is the better cook since my dad never cooks. my dad doesn't even cook on holidays. I'm a mom now and i'm the cook too. i guess i'd be the better cook between my husband and I. He doesn't cook unless I'm sick or something, except for doing stuff on the grill. he's a natural at grilling.

Oh by far my mom is the better cook if I have to compare the two. My dad uses way too much salt and pepper. He doesnt seem to understand that other seasonings do exist. I think I'm a better cook than mom though-- for SOME things. For others, she is better.. depends on what we are making.

My father. My father did not use to be......for years and years my mom could cook rings around him. But because of her heart problem, dad started cooking. That was better that her. Not fair I know because she can hardly cook at all now. So I am changing my response and saying MY MOM can cook the best, still. I think she deserves the crown and always will!! She loved to cook and she loved to feed her family. She loved a happy table!

I don't really know who I would say is the better cook between my parents. I don't have children, so I can't answer your question as to what children say about my cooking. I can say this though. My mother in law is a wonderful cook. If I ate her cooking all the time, I would be gaining a lot of weight.

In fact, my mother in law cooks the best lasagna. I love Italian food, so I can't have that to often, or I would be in trouble.

My mom is a wonderful cook. She knows the art of spicing up anything with her ideas and makes a great dish out of anything simple. My Dad does cook and is very good at cooking dishes of rice and varieties of curries. Making food hot in a desirable way is his asset I believe. He also has the credit of teaching me how to cook. I do cook when I feel like handling the kitchen. I like cooking.

Sadly in my house neither of my parents are very good cooks. I'm sure you have heard the old adage "Those who can, do and those who can't, teach". Well my mother was a home education teacher and taught foods. She proves the adage. She can teach the basics but she's a lousy cook. Not that I tell her that of course. I would not want to hurt her feelings. My dad seems to like her cooking but according to him is mother couldn't cook at all so it really makes me wonder how bad she was if my mother's is so much better.

Basically I was saying that my mom is a lousy cook even though she was trained to teach others how to cook. She knows all the stuff in practical sense just can't seem to actually put it to good use.

As far as i am concerned,in my family,my father's cooking skill is better than my mother.but my mother cooked some days.Sometimes who cook the meals is depend on their free time.who is off duty eariler who cook.No mater who cook the meal,i all love to eat.The food is really delicious and full of love. My father is kind.if he has the time,he will cook for mother and my younger sister and me. There is an old saying that "if you want to catch a man,you must try to catch his stomach."So you can imagine that the cooking skill is so important for woman. Nowadays,it is no mater who to cook i think.Women can,men do can. It's a form to express love.the love to wife, the love to husband, the love to children. As i am grow up i also want to learn cooking.I want to cook for whoever loves me.
