For short or small everyday needs, I usually if really needed, borrow from my colleagues. But if its quite big and very personal, I would wallow my pride and borrow from relatives instead. I am ashame to borrow from friends large amount of money. So in times of your need, where do you borrow money?

Hi Lynn. Im same as you. I would rather borrow from siblings than from friend if its a big amount. But I pay back as soon as possible.

The only person besides a bank I have ever borrowed money from is my mom. I have borrowed little amounts from her and big amounts from her usually if I try to pay her back she won't accept the money.

First I like to say I try my best to never run out of money before payday but at times it happens and then I borrow money usually from my mom. I don't like to borrow money from anyone so I make sure it doesn't happen too often, and it doesn't. I have also borrowed money off of my kids at times but not too often as it is embarrassing for me to ask them for help. So I would much rather borrow from my mom than anyone else, she is more understanding about it than anyone else I know.

umm :) hardly i borrow money from someone,it doesnt mean i am ashamed of borrowing but its just like i very rare need to borrow because i am very good with managing my money especially, how much to spent, when to spent and where to spent and especially how much have to save in case when i will be needing it :)
If i feel that i am going out of my budget this month i reduce my extra expenditures like fone cards, accesories, junk food etc etc:)
If i am needing money for a cause in emergency like i have beemn liking something and willing to buy and i am out of range then obvioulsy i ask money from my mother then it depends if she can afford it too or not :) but hardly this happens otherwise my mom always asks me for money :P lol.
and i never ask it back.
As far as friends are concerned if my friendz are closer to me then obviously if i will ask money from them they wont be gettin back from me,again it depends on the amount you are asking for.If its very large amount of money then you obviously cant ask from your regular friendz but if the friend is more than a good friend then its ok with it there is nothing to be getting ashamed of.
Asking for money again and again from friendz can irritate them too.so be careful this can even decrease your value in them, occassionaly its ok :)

When i was in college i borrowed money as a "loan" from my grandmother. Small amounts i've borrowed from my parents or siblings but i haven't had to "borrow" in a while. My mom will pick groceries up for me and i pay her back right away. its more a convenience thing though rather than a i'm short on money.

Well that's great to hear saundyl. How sweet of your mom to take care of your groceries and at the same time help you in your financial shortage. Love your mom!

I only ever need to borrow small amounts of money, so I tend to just borrow it off my boyfriend or Mam depending on where I am. I prefer to borrow money off my boyfriend, because he borrows money off me, so it seems more fair. I never borrow money off my Dad, because he will do a whole money rant and I rarely borrow more than a £1 off my friends, because they never have much money on them.

I get many donations from the members of storytime tapestry that keep me afloat. They know the troubles I have and help with running of the e-zine and a bit more to help pay my bills.
